Bintougbe Fofana is a dedicated humanitarian who has participated in programs that focus on poverty alleviation, Girl-Child empowerment and social justice among others. She has traveled around the world to support various humanitarian causes.
Bintougbe migrated from Guinea to the United States of America at a very young age with her family. She graduated high school from Pendleton Height, and went to college at the University of Maryland University College, (UMUC) to study Business Administration. While in college, Bintougbe had the opportunity to branch into healthcare. She has had several experiences and job offers as a student working in different healthcare sectors. Because of her genuine passion in caring for others, coupled with her patient care skills and expertise, her dedication and commitment to the healthcare profession, in addition to her nurturing ability, she opted to work in both group homes and private care.
Upon graduation from High School, (Pendleton Height) she had the opportunity to participate as a contestant for Miss Guinea North America, and won the title of the 3rd Miss Guinea North America. Bintougbe’s beginning can be traced to her participation in Ms. Guinea North America and Ms. Tourism Queen International pageants. Her experiences opened doors for her in both ambassadorial and humanitarian sectors to tackle youth illiteracy, building self-esteem & empowering African children by teaching them the value of giving back within their respective community.
In 2011, after being crowned Ms. Guinea North America, one of Bintougbe’s goals is to promote education in Africa and the Diaspora. She got the opportunity to go back home for the first time after several years, under the NIMBA Foundation, and decided to do a give back project. She visited some orphanages and some schools. She also took some time to visit Nigeria, on humanitarian ground.
One of Bintougbe’s major goal is to raise global awareness and support to help children in need. She has raised some money from her healthcare job for this cause, and currently runs her own non-medical private care agency (Texas Elite Care Institute) where she trains private care givers.
