Pmabi Meshack Sunday- Legal
PMABI, Meshack Sunday Esq., ACI Arb., is an Alumna of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria (popularly known as ABU Zaria), where he bagged his bachelor’s degree in Law. He commenced his early education at Police Children School, Minna, Niger State, where he earned his First School Leaving Certificate. He then proceeded to Government Secondary School (as it then was), Minna, Niger State, from whence he went on to study Law at ABU Zaria.
He is a Legal Practitioner and a Principal Legal Officer with the National Judicial Council of Nigeria.
Over the years, he has garnered rich and profitable experiences while participating in several humanitarian services with several Bodies/Establishments and as an individual as well.
In the course of his studies, he participated in several, volunteer services/activities. While at the University, he was a member of a Christian Fellowship Group-100 Club, which was not all about propagating the Gospel of Jesus Christ in theory only, but practically took steps to reach out to other folks in need. Even as a student then, he knew the importance of reaching out to people in need and providing support in any way he could.
PmabiMeshack Sunday served as the General Secretary to the Legal Aid Community Development Service Group during his National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) service year in Jalingo, the capital city of Taraba State, Nigeria. This also afforded him the opportunity to provide humanitarian services to less privileged persons in society.
He is enthusiastic and passion driven about outreach activities and ‘giveback projects. Some of the major volunteer/community service activities he has engaged in include:
Rendering Legal Aid to Convicted Persons: as a young lawyer, serving as the General Secretary of the Legal Aid Community Development Service Group of the NYSC, Jalingo, Taraba State, he was actively engaged in providing support and ‘legal aid’ to persons who were convicted of fineable offenses but couldn’t afford their fines. Their presence in prison custody got the prison populated beyond its capacity; as such securing their freedom was not just a service to the convicted persons, but also to other inmates and the government as a whole. He and his team will always go further to sensitize persons whose freedom they had secured, to the need to stay away from crime, learn a skill, get some form of formal education and be of positive impact on society.
Visiting Orphanages and Providing Relief Materials to the Children: he has visited several orphanages, within the Town of Suleja, Niger State, where with each visit, either as an individual or with a group of persons, he has always contributed to food supplies and other relief materials for the welfare and wellbeing of the children. He made it a habit to celebrate some festive seasons at these orphanages with the children therein so they don’t feel left out of the excitement life offers, and the beautiful experiences that accompany such seasons/moments.
Hospital Visits and Support for Sick Persons: in the company of other young men from his local Church, he has also been involved in several visits to hospitals, where he provides sick persons and their families with funds to help take care of medical bills and other relief materials.
Rendering Support for Young Persons Interested in Playing the Game of Basketball: as a Basketball lover, who himself plays the game of Basketball, he has in any way he can, assisted his hometown Basketball team and his Secondary School team as well when called upon to support the teams in times of need.
These are some of the things/activities he engages in enthusiastically and with great joy.
He is pleased to be associated with Hand of Favor Global Care & Support Foundation, and look forward to contributing his quota towards providing a conducive environment for the younger generation to thrive.
He will serve as the Legal Adviser to the team.
